This week we had the exciting privilege of chatting with Dr. Bryan Harvey of Harvey Pediatrics (Pediatric Workplaces, LLC).

Dr. Harvey recently purchased lot 11 of Metro Park (the southwest corner of Redbud & 52nd) in Rogers from Horsebarn Holdings for a purchase price of $929,000.00 and will be building a new pediatric medical campus to launch in late Summer 2015. We are very honored to help Dr. Harvey and his team with this project, and appreciative of his time in chatting with us this week.

Tell us about the new project... harvey_headshot

We are excited to build a 15,000 square foot pediatric medical complex which will be the future home of Harvey Pediatrics.  The first floor of the building will be leased to other providers who specialize in pediatric services.

It is not uncommon to see integrated medical campuses for adults, but the need for an integrated campus for pediatrics in our area is essential.  It allows for providers to better communicate by being in the same vicinity, and offers a continuum of care that often times becomes fragmented when providers are in various locations.

Our hope is to have a one-stop-shop for parents and families, and we are looking to attract other providers such as a pediatric dentistry, pediatric therapies such as occupational, speech, and physical, and possibly even optometry and/or psychology, so we can best serve mild to moderate care in one centralized place.  We are looking to build collaborative partnerships with providers, and those with an interest in being a part of our campus community can contact Amy Mills at amy@arkrealestate.com for details.

How is this concept new to the area?

There is nothing else like this concept in the state, apart from Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.  The new campus will offer Northwest Arkansas an opportunity to have a combined team of professionals among the various medical spectrum providing their children with the highest quality in care.

I have been a pediatrician since 1991, and have dreamed about this concept since high school.  With interest rates the lowest in my lifetime, I knew if this was going to happen, now is the time.

Who is designing this project?

The building is being designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects, a world-class architecture firm.  The design will be created with a child’s perspective in mind, offering a safe, bright and well-organized structure.  Their firm has designed projects like the Crystal Bridges Museum Store, the Indianapolis Museum of Art Visitor's Pavilion, the Blessings Club House, etc.  We are really excited to be working with them and the level of skill and professionalism they are bringing to this project is state-of-the-art.
