Planes, Trains, & Automobiles…Rogers Municipal Airport and Beaver Lake Aviation

The Rogers Municipal Airport, not to be confused with the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport, is one of our region’s longest lasting airports to date.  The airport opened for public use in May of 1946, located on Highway 62 in Rogers, you can clearly see its landmark of an entrance noted by the Vietnam Memorial Plane, and a fighter helicopter.  We would be remiss to not mention this transportation staple as we highlight this series, not only for what it does publicly but the major role it plays in large industry in our community.

The Rogers Airport is publicly owned and operated, and sets on 460 acres of land offering one 611 ft. paved and lighted runway.   With an average of 88 flights per day, and 107 aircrafts onsite this airport stays busy.

This site also serves as the primary airport for most of Walmart Corporate Offices air travel, also known as, Beaver Lake Aviation. Beaver Lake Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.

Their Rogers, Arkansas (KROG) location has been serving the Aviation community since 1986.  Their friendly and professional team invites clients to enjoy the comforts and conveniences of their FBO facility which was constructed in 2002 and offers many amenities to enhance your experience while visiting Northwest Arkansas.  From executive conference rooms to an exercise facility to an onsite restaurant, they have something for everyone.

Beaver Lake Aviation offers a wide array of services to the community from aircraft care – fueling, hangars, private jets.. to care for crew and passengers such as catering, hotel stays, etc.

The Rogers Municipal Airport also has events throughout the year that people in the community can engage in such as pancake breakfasts, etc.  Without the use of this facility, large industries like Walmart would have to commute to other area airports that were farther from their corporate offices.

Fortunately, the Rogers Municipal Airport has been a tried and true landmark in our community not only providing transportation, but also providing opportunities for continued business growth.
