Meet the Team Monday | Jason Keeling
Today’s Meet the Team Monday features Jason Keeling! Jason came to Steve Fineberg & Associates after 20 plus years in insurance. His ability to create and sustain relationships with clients is something we value! We are excited for him to be a part of our team!
Are you originally from Arkansas?
No, I was born in Roanoke, Virginia and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I made my way to Arkansas because my dad was from here and graduated from the University of Arkansas. My parents offered to help me through college if I attended Arkansas and I couldn’t turn that opportunity down!
Now that you’ve lived here for a while, what is your favorite thing about Northwest Arkansas?
Great people, low crime, lots of things to do, outdoor activities. It has been a great place to raise a family, I have 2 daughters and we enjoy the outdoors and going out to eat.
What are some activities you enjoy doing with your daughters?
My youngest loves horseback riding so I get to take her and watch her do something she loves. My oldest likes to hang out with friends, but we get to do outdoor things like camping, hiking, and floating the river.
What is your background and what are you looking forward to as a commercial real estate agent?
I was in the insurance field for around 22 years. I enjoyed working in insurance, but one thing I’m looking forward to in commercial real estate is the process of executing a deal. You are able to establish a relationship with your client, find a property that fits their needs, and be there to help close the deal. It’s a profession that you can be passionate about because you are always seeking out the next deal.
How long have you known Steve and what is something your admire about him?
I’ve known Steve for at least 15 years. Steve has energy like few others. He is clearly passionate about what he does here and what this office does. He cares about everyone in this office and goes above and beyond to make sure you have success while you are working together.
Jason is a big sports fan, do you have any favorite teams? And do you play any sports yourself?
I’m a huge Razorback fan of course! I also like the Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Braves. For myself, I play a lot of tennis. I’ve played all of my life and I like it because you can play for a long time while getting a great workout.
You have done a lot of traveling, where is your favorite place you have been to?
Yes, I do love to travel and see new places. My favorite place is Hawaii. Did you know there are no poisonous snakes in Hawaii? That’s a bonus! My favorite excursion we did while we were there was hiking to the top of a volcano called Diamond Head.
