Northwest Arkansas has gained much recognition for the many outdoor activities offered throughout our region. During the pandemic, many people turned to the outdoors for adventure and some picked up some new hobbies. Biking in Northwest Arkansas is on the rise and continues to be highlighted throughout the region. A study conducted by People for Bikes showed that “in 2020, 10% of American adults engaged in bicycling in a new way and 87% of those new riders plan to keep riding.”
People for Bikes is an organization who’s mission is “To get people riding bikes more often. To make bike riding better for everyone.” They recently released an article which named Fayetteville a “Top Vacation Spot for Biking.” Paired with the many biking events that take place in Northwest Arkansas, the trail systems and culture are hard to beat. The city planners in the metro area have elevated the biking scene in not only Fayetteville, but in all of Northwest Arkansas. There are many plans to build on the increasing attraction to our area and we can’t wait to see what comes next!
