FIRST LOOK: WALMART’S NEW HEADQUARTERS

Walmart has given us an early look into the campus of their new headquarters in Bentonville, AR. The new campus will be spread across 350 acres on the east side of J Street in between Central Avenue and 14th Street. Walmart has been utilizing warehouse and office buildings all over Bentonville so this new campus will offer a centralized location for their 14,000 plus employees in the area. There is not a definitive completion date, but the company is hoping to roll out this project in phases between 2020 and 2024. Walmart has always been committed to their sustainability efforts and they plan to continue to do so with the building and utilization of the new campus. Their goals are to create zero waste, operate with 100% renewable energy, and focus on using products that sustain resources and the environment. Some of the campus amenities include dining venues, coffee bars, in-office food pantries, and a juice and smoothie bar. The renderings of the new campus are extremely impressive and showcase the vast amount of planning going into this project.
