Meet the Team Monday – Ethan Tisdale

Meet Ethan Tisdale! Ethan has been with Steve Fineberg & Associates for over 2 and a half years bringing valuable knowledge to the team. Ethan joined us after time as a Commercial Business Broker. His past experience made his transition to commercial real estate a smooth one. His drive and passion for this industry has contributed to his success. Steve Fineberg & Fineberg Associates is happy to have Ethan on our team!

Who or what has made an impact on your life?

I had the opportunity to spend multiple summers doing mission work in South America on the Amazon river. It helped me to appreciate life more and not take things for granted. It pushed me to become the best version of myself.

What quote do you live by?

Well, this is kind of a joke, but I keep fortunes from fortune cookies in the back of my phone case. For example, one of them reads “Luck happens when hard work meets opportunity.”

You have had a lot of success in commercial real estate, is this where you saw yourself when you were younger?

No, I saw myself following in my dad’s footsteps and becoming an attorney. My perspective changed once I began studying finance at the University of Arkansas. I had full intentions of being pre-law, but the Lord had other plans.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of being young in an industry where most of your peers are older?

Sometimes I feel that others may take me less seriously because of my age, but that pushes me to work harder and change their perspective. I do believe that being younger gives me a competitive edge in a market with many progressive thinkers and new entrepreneurs.

How do you maintain a good work/life balance?

Well, things have been getting busy at work and I got married last May, so finding a good work/life balance has become even more important to me. I try to find time in the morning and evening to be still and progress in my own life. My golf game has really suffered though.

What are some things you do to relax?

I like to take my chocolate lab, Cooper, on walks and be outside. I enjoy going to the driving range after a long day of work. I also love spending time with my wife and family. We have family in Alabama and Destin, so we make an effort to visit as much as we can.

Who is your favorite artist and why?

John Mayer. Why do I like him? Well, I met my wife in line for one of his concerts and the rest is history.

In your time here, what is something Steve has taught you?

It has been a huge blessing to work with Steve over the last 2 and a half years. Steve has taught me to treat every conversation and deal with the upmost respect and integrity. Everyday I feel like I learn a new analogy from Steve.

Steve does use a lot of analogies in the office, what is your favorite?

Steve says our office is like a NASCAR race, you can’t win without a pit crew. This is a great analogy because our front office staff is a crucial piece to our success and we couldn’t do it without them.
