Family Fun at Northwest Arkansas Championship

The Northwest Arkansas Championship kicks off their weeks’ worth of events starting Monday, June 24th in Rogers, AR. If you haven’t had the opportunity to attend the golf tournament and watch the LPGA professionals , we encourage you to go and check it out this year! The NWA Championship is full of family-friendly events and activities. We wanted to highlight some of the things going on next week so you can plan your trip to the NWA Championship!

Yoga for Kids presented by Dove:
Yoga for Kids will be held on Tuesday, June 25th. This event will take place at the Hub479, an open-air structure on the 17th hole, from 10:00am-11:00am. This is a free beginner’s class for kids ages 6-12. A LPGA professional will participate in the yoga class and share how sports have impacted her life.

Yoga on the Green:
If you are looking for a fun yoga class for all skill levels, Yoga on the Green is perfect! This is a free, 45-minute class hosted by Bee Well Yoga and Athleta. The yoga class will take place on Sunday, June 30th in the Hub479 from 9:30am-10:30am with mimosas and raffle prizes to follow! Bring your friends and enjoy a relaxing morning at the NWA Championship!

Walmart and Always Live #LikeAGirl STEAM Center:
The Walmart and Always Live #LikeAGirl STEAM Center is a huge hit for tournament goers. The STEAM center focuses on activities relating to science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. There are tons of hands-on activities for kids to participate in that will spark creativity while learning. The STEAM center will be open at various times throughout the week.

5K @ the LPGA Benefitting Mercy:
A highlight of the NWA Championship is the 5K @ the LPGA benefitting Mercy. The 5K takes place on Saturday, June 29th at 7:30am. The course starts and ends at the Walmart Amp winding through the Pinnacle Country Club and the 18th hole. For those wanting to attend, but not run the 5K, there is also a 1K Fun Run! Following the race there will be refreshments and awards handed out. The cost to run is $20 per person and that includes a race day t-shirt, race medal, breakfast, a daily ticket to the tournament, and more! Our office is participating in the Corporate Challenge this year and we can’t wait to see you there! It’s not too late to sign up, but hurry before early bird prices go up on June 24th!

First Tee Junior Golf Zone presented by Dove:
If your child is an aspiring golf professional, bring them by the First Tee Junior Golf Zone presented by Dove! Here they will receive complimentary putting lessons from the First Tee coaches. Children 17 and under can attend for free and practice their putting on the 9th Hole Putting Green. This event will be held on Sunday, June 30th from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

 

As you can see, the Northwest Arkansas Championship is filled with family-friendly events. Did we mention that children 17 and under get in FREE with the purchase of an adult ticket? A daily adult ticket costs $10 and you and a weekly ticket is $25. Food and refreshments are available throughout the course and there are many freebies being handed out by sponsors.
