As we head into fall, we are reflecting on the jam-packed spring and summer that included festivals, community events, new announcements, and more. We know that Northwest Arkansas is a special place fueled by commerce, innovation, ideas, and opportunity. Check out some of the recent headlines featuring Northwest Arkansas’ achievements.
In July 2023, Rogers, Arkansas announced that it will be building a 5,000-seat soccer stadium to be the home of 2 pro soccer teams. The teams will compete in the United States League (USL) with the men competing in the USL Championship and the women in the USL Super League. Both teams expect to kick off their seasons in 2026.
U.S. News and World Report named Northwest Arkansas #15 in the Fastest Growing Places in the U.S. 2023-2024. Their research looked at the net migration of each metro area which is measured by the increase or decrease of population over the past 5 years.
A Wall Street Journal article highlighted Bentonville and the different elements that make it “cool.” The main highlights were the food and the innovative art. Places mentioned were Preacher’s Son, Crystal Bridges, the Walmart Museum, Airship Coffee, and more. While the article was strictly opinion, it gives great insight into what and who Bentonville is!
The Razorback Greenway is a prominent and well-known trail connecting Northwest Arkansas communities. It is referred to as “The Backbone of Northwest Arkansas. The 40-mile paved trail connects Fayetteville all the way north to Bella Vista.
